In 1978 Guy Hutcheson’s son-in-law, Butch Tucker, joined Mr. Hutcheson in the growing business. In 1986 Mr. Hutcheson sold the business to his son-in-law and daughter, Butch and Susan Tucker. Butch and Susan continued to run the business at the James Blvd. location and started planning for the future. In 1989 they purchased a 10-acre piece of ground along Interstate 44. After 10 more years of hard work by the family, as well as their staff, the business had grown to the point that the old facility could not handle the volume of business anymore. Plans were made to build a new dealership. Ground was broken for the new facility in October of 1999, and the company opened for business at the present location on Friday, September 1, 2000.
Mike was born and raised in Saint James, MO going to John F. Hodge High School. Being a third generation car dealer, Mike started his automotive career at the age of 13 helping his father, and grandfather, around the dealership. Upon graduating high school Mike obtained an economics degree at the University of Missouri- Science & Technology in 1991. It was short after college with Mike decided to come back home and work within the family business. Mike continued to further his education and graduate from the NADA Dealers Academy in 2015. With his education, experience, and time working in every department Mike now runs the dealership as Vice President alongside his wife Joy Tucker.
Joy loves our employees, and how they enjoy taking care of our customers. Hutcheson Ford is a great place to work; where we have fun and enjoy what we do! Joy comes from a background in public education, over 33 years. After her time in education Joy was ready for a new challenge and started working with Mike in the automotive industry.
With over 15 years of experience in the automotive industry, Ryan Shockley brings a wealth of knowledge and leadership to the Hutcheson Ford team. Known for his hard work and innovative, outside-the-box thinking, Ryan is a perfect fit for his role as General Manager. His forward-thinking approach is helping guide Hutcheson Ford toward an exciting future. When he’s not at the dealership, Ryan enjoys spending time on his farm and making memories with family and friends.
Drew has worked at Hutcheson Ford sense he was a child helping out his father and grandfather from time to time. Drew joined full time as a Sales Representative and then transitioned over to Finance where he now is the Finance Manager.
Nathan, having been with Hutcheson Ford for 10 years, enjoys meeting all the people coming through the dealership. He likes that every day is different yet his role allows him time to spend with family, including his three daughters. During his non-working hours, he coaches basketball of his two oldest daughters and also finds time to fish & hunt. Family time is very important including special beach vacations yearly.
Rodney joined the dealership on March 19th, 2012. He states his very first vehicle was a 1999 Mercury Cougar. Rodney grew up around the dealership and has always been interested in cars and he loves meeting new people. Rodney’s favorite activities outside of work are playing golf and taking road trips. Rodney has a family of his own with his wife, Miranda, and their son, Oliver. Rodney says he is blessed to have his family and friends and be able to work at the dealership.
Anthony has received the Ford Employee Excellence Award for several years. His customers tell him that they have a great experience from start to finish. Everyone from sales to the service departments works well together.
Mark joined our team as a sales consultant and has been doing a great job. With his passion for making the sales process easy, you’re in great hands with Mark!
Tristan started working with Hutcheson Ford in June of 2023. When Tristan is not working he enjoys spending time with his wife and three dogs while exploring the countryside. Tristan also enjoys workings on trucks when the time allows.
Ryan has recently joined the sales team here at Hutcheson Ford and we are excited to see him in action. Ryan’s friendly attitude and knowledge within the automotive industry makes him a perfect fit to the team!
Dallas is celebrating 20 years with the Hutcheson Ford family this year in 2023. His first vehicle was a 1979 Ford pickup and grew up always working on car/trucks with his family. On off hours, Dallas enjoys boating, off-roading, and camping.
Tyler joined the Hutcheson Ford family in July 2018. He has been working within the automotive service industry for over 10 years. During his time off work, he enjoys hunting, fishing, but his main passion is woodworking.
Tyler loves the family atmosphere of Hutcheson Ford and how the owners genuinely care about their employees. In July 2018, Tyler became a Level 3 Certified Service Advisor. We are extremely proud of him and his work here at Hutcheson Ford.
David joined the service team at the end of 2022 and has been a great addition. We have enjoyed getting to work with David and are excited to see all the great things he’ll accomplish here with us.
Charles Light serves as a knowledgeable and customer-focused Service Advisor at Hutcheson Ford. He is dedicated to helping customers understand their vehicle needs, guiding them through the service process with clear communication and expert advice. Charles is committed to ensuring that each customer leaves feeling confident in the care their vehicle received.
Gordy has been a proud member of the Hutcheson Ford family since 1999. He is a master certified service advisor and a four-time winner of the employee excellence award.
Dennis works part time for the dealership assisting with warranty regulation, guidance, and support. He is the person to go to for all things warranty and we have really appreciated getting to work with Dennis and look forward to working more with him into the future.
Kyle celebrates 16 years with Hutcheson Ford and has been here through many evolutions. From the addition of service bays to the growth of the Parts Department Kyle has seen it all.
Chad celebrates 8 years with us here at Hutcheson Ford as a Senior Service Technician. Chad enjoys those days in spring where the bay doors can be open and it’s not too hot or too cold, it’s just perfect.
This August will be Aaron’s 5 year anniversary and we are excited to celebrate with him. Deep appreciation and gratitude to have Aaron on the Hutcheson Ford Service team.
Zack joined Hutcheson Ford in September 2018 and will hit his 5 year mark within the year. Zack has 9 Ford certifications and is a natural problem solver.
Logan started with us when he was in high school attending St. James High School working part-time. He now has graduated and works full time as a technician and all of us here have enjoyed watching him grow into the young man he is today.
Dustin joined the team in April of 2022 and has jumped in head first learning and supporting wherever he can. Dustin works great under the high demand and work load that we have here at Hutcheson Ford Service.
Simeon Stark, Simeon is coming up on his two year anniversary this fall. Through time we have seen Simeon grow and will continue to see him grow alongside the growth of Hutcheson Ford.
Peyton will hit his two year mark here at Hutcheson Ford in May 2023. We have been impressed by his willingness to dive in and become a great part of the team!
Dylan is the son of Senior Service Technician, Chris Long, and has worked along side his father for two years. Here at Hutcheson Ford we are family in more ways than one!
Gabe Howdeshell is a skilled Service Technician at Hutcheson Ford, bringing expertise and dedication to every vehicle he works on. With a passion for solving automotive issues and ensuring customer satisfaction, Gabe takes pride in delivering reliable, high-quality service that keeps our customers’ vehicles running smoothly.
Bridgette says, “This is a great place to purchase a vehicle and even a better place to work.” She states she was treated like “family” from day one. Interacting with great customers is also a highlight. Bridgette celebrated 7 years at Hutcheson Ford this year.
Words can’t explain the love we have for Cara and the love she gives to customers, employees and vendors. Cara is an absolute treasure and we are so grateful to have her in the Hutcheson Ford family.
Trae graduated college from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with dual degrees in Business Administration and Interpersonal & Public Communications. Trae has worked in entertainment and healthcare industries and now works within the automotive industry. Trae works to help assist and guide the dealership towards a prosperous future.
Ashley joined the Hutcheson Ford family this year and has been a great addition helping make sure that the rental department provides top quality service. Ashley is an expert at helping customers through the entire rental process. From start to finish, Ashley is there by your side making it a stress free process.
Austin is a dedicated member of the Hutcheson Ford team, with a strong focus on delivering excellent service to our customers. Cody Parks is an experienced Parts Specialist who prides himself on his ability to find the right solutions for our customers’ vehicle needs.
